June 25: The 17th Annual General Body Meeting of Parent Teacher Association of St Theresa’s School was held on 22nd June 2018 at St Sebastian’s Platinum Jubilee Auditorium, Bendur. The dignitaries were the Chairperson Sr Mariette BS, The Secretary of Bethany Educational Society and the Correspondent of the school, Mrs Rosa Nimmy Mathew, Professor, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru, Sr Leena the Superior of the Bethany Convent,
Sr Philomene Saldanha Principal and PTA President and Mrs Nynette Tellis the PTA Vice President. Sr Shanthi D’Souza the Vice Principal introduced the New Principal Sr Philomene to the gathering. Thereafter the new Principal welcomed the august gathering and thanked the PTA members for their support and co-operation rendered during the past years. It was followed by the address of Sr Mariette exhorting parents to instil the value of humanity in their wards. The resource person Mrs Rosa Nimmy Mathew insisted that parents build a strong bond with their children with personal touch and moral values helping them to transform into healthy adults.
The top scorers of our school were honoured and awarded with mementos. The Top Scorer Vidhula expressed her gratitude to the Alma Mater, the Management and the school faculty. It was followed by the reading of the minutes of previous meeting by Mrs Gretta D’Souza the PTA Secretary, and the report of the activities of the year 2017-2018. Mrs Jenevive Seema D’Souza presented the Audited Statement of Accounts for the year 2017-2018. Mrs Jasmine Moreira, Mrs Juliet Rodrigues and Mrs Carol Machado conducted the election procedure for the new members of the PTA Executive committee 2018-2019 and Sr Mariette confirmed the names of the newly elected members. The meeting came to a close at 6:00pm singing the School Anthem.
